Fredonia State men’s hoops tests UB in 87-78 loss

AMHERST — The Fredonia State men’s basketball team gave the Division 1 Bulls quite the test of Friday evening, falling only 87-78 in a nonconference matchup.

The Blue Devils received a team-high 23 points from Brandon Kulakowski, while Malik Jemison pitched in another 16 points with six rebounds and five assists in the loss to the University at Buffalo.

After trailing 41-37 at halftime, the Bulls turned it on in the second half with Ryan Sabol finishing with a game-high 28 points, Tyson Dunn posted a triple-double with 14 points, 10 boards and 14 assists and Anquan Boldin Jr. added another 22 points.
