Fredonia boys fall to Clarence in finals

CLARENCE — The Clarence Red Devils limited the Fredonia boys basketball team to just 10 points in the first half on Saturday as they held on to win their holiday tournament 48-41.

Colin Luce led the Fredonia (4-4) effort with 14 points, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals, Luca Gullo added 10 points, five rebounds and three steals, while RJ Koopman dealt seven assists with five steals and Donovan Dowdy added two steals and two blocks.

Clarence improves to 2-4 on the year with the win.

PIRATES FALL IN PA.

CORRY, Pa. — Carson White scored 14 points with 11 rebounds and five assists, but it was not enough as Clymer fell to Corry 50-39 in the Jim Grucca Memorial Christmas Tournament over the weekend.

Kameron Einink added three assists and three steals, while Roman Wassink had eight rebounds for the Pirates (2-4).

WARRIORS SUCCUMBS TO WELLSVILLE

ALLEGANY — A 26-point third quarter propelled Wellsville past Salamanca 66-65 in the Joe DeCerbo Holiday Tournament.

Salamanca (3-1) was led by Avery Brown with 20 points, while Jacob Herrick scored 19 and Cory Holleran added 10.
