AMHERST — Trenton Krenzer turned in quite a performance at a triangular swim meet at Sweet Home High School on Friday.

Representing the Dunkirk/Forestville/Fredonia team, Krenzer broke the Dunkirk record (set in February 2024) as well as the Fredonia mark (set in 1979) in the 200-yard individual medley, posting a time of 2 minutes, 6.16 seconds. Already on the Dunkirk record board for the 200-yard medley relay, the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays as well as the 100-yard backstroke, Krenzer is one of seven members of the Marauders’ squad, who had nearly every time recorded as a drop from last season.

The Marauders were competing against host Sweet Home and Tonawanda.

Dunkirk/Forestville/Fredonia will be back in action Tuesday when it hosts Frewsburg/Falconer/Jamestown/Southwestern at the Dunkirk pool.
