Cougars boys, girls bowling sweep MG

FREDONIA — Both the Cassadaga Valley boys and girls bowling teams swept Maple Grove in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action at Lucky Lanes on Wednesday.

The Cassadaga Valley boys rolled 718-686-807-2,211 to Maple Grove’s 714-662-678-2,054.

Matthew Runge rolled 194-480 to lead the Cougars (17-27), Gavin Penhollow hit 190-465, Bradley Windnagle had 166-435 and Jordon Swanson posted a 434 series.

Jake Reinhardt led Maple Grove (7-25) with a 168-181-457 and Drew Oste hit 168-440.

The Cassadaga Valley girls posted a scoreline of 547-623-526-1,696 to 405-388-383-1,176.

Emma Nickerson hammered 222-187-558 to lead the Cougars (32-8) and Mattea Hilliker had a 160 game.

Ayla Kaszar had the high series for Maple Grove (3-25).

FREDONIA BOYS, GIRLS SWEEP

FREDONIA — Londyn Wilmot smashed 197-213-206-616 to lead Fredonia past Silver Creek 571-604-605-1,780 to 399-492-390-1,281 in Division 1 at Lucky Lanes.

Emma DuBois added 176-171-144-491 for Fredonia (12.5-11.5).

Marisa Grisanti had a 152 for Silver Creek (1-27).

Daniel Cook hammered 236-206-578 to lead the Fredonia boys to a linescore of 806-937-816-2,559 to Silver Creek’s 651-742-618-2,011.

Ryan Kelly hit 202-194 for Fredonia (26-10), Brady Helmer had 190-553 and Luka Paoletta scored a 195.

Silver Creek (9-23) was led by Ethan Vecchio with 181-175 and Kevin Murawski had 168.
