Forestville boys, girls bowling down Cougars at Lucky Lanes

FREDONIA — Tucker Merritt rolled 222-190-561 as the Forestville boys bowling team swept Cassadaga Valley in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action at Lucky Lanes on Monday.

The Hornets posted a scoreline of 721-720-778-2,219 to Cassadaga Valley’s 671-685-650-2,006.

Troy Muck hit 204-478 for Forestville (22-2), Alexander Lucas rolled 179-449 and Tyler Waugh had 163-164-443.

Cassadaga Valley (9-23) was led by Jordon Swanson with 181-480, Matthew Runge hit 163-173-433 and Gavin Penhollow had a 164 game.

The Forestville girls dropped the first game to Cassadaga Valley, but then rattled off a pair of wins 562-730-633-1,925 to 573-587-570-1,730.

The Hornets (15-5) were led by Emily Lillie firing 164-226-160-550, Alexandra Kerstetter hit 170-218-526 and Kaylee Adamczak rolled 197-190-518.

Cassadaga Valley (23-5) was powered by Emma Nickerson with a 183-214-221-618, Xabrina Szablewski hit 153-156-432 and Addison Helwig had a 428 series.

BROCTON BOYS EDGE WESTFIELD

FREDONIA — Nathan Laurito fired 204-443 as Brocton edged Westfield in Division 2 by a scoreline of 863-680-514-2,047 to 695-598-594-1,887 at Lucky Lanes.

Jeremy Weisner smashed a 251 game for the Bulldogs (9-15) and Jackson Burns scored a 164.

Tahner Stow led Westfield (10-10) with a 209 game.

SC BOYS SWEEP, JHS GIRLS PREVAIL

SILVER CREEK — Ethan Vecchio posted a 425 series as the Silver Creek boys swept Jamestown 629-616-666-1,911 to 581-591-648-1,820 at Hanover Lanes.

Carter Fuhrman added a 413 series for Silver Creek (9-15).

Jamestown (5-23) was led by Diesel Cowan rolling 178 in a 416 series.

The Jamestown girls came away with a victory posting a scoreline of 585-432-560-1,577 to Silver Creek’s 358-477-392-1,227.

Jamie Beaver posted the high series of 436 for Jamestown (14.5-9.5), while Addison Cappalino hit 171.

Silver Creek (1-19) was led by Marissa Grisanti with 162-407.

SOUTHWESTERN BOYS ROLL FREDONIA

FREDONIA — Anthony Pratt had a 216-239-252-707 to lead Southwestern past Fredonia 4-0 in Division 1 at Lucky Lanes.

The Trojans (21-3) had a linescore of 921-908-847-2,676. Brody Ellis had a 186-182 while Ethan Lohnes had a 218. Robbie Bellardo added a 199.

The Hillbillies (15-9) had a linescore of 748-850-717-2,315. Brady Helmer led Fredonia with a 191-195-530. Daniel Cook had a 195 and Ryan Kelly added a 183-174. Bradley Berkshire had a 164.
