Silver Creek girls defeat Chautauqua Lake in CCAA Division 2
MAYVILLE — Gracelin Stevens scored 18 points as Silver Creek downed Chautauqua Lake 51-40 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 girls basketball action on Monday.
Khloe Karnes and Gracie Williams both provided another 12 points for Silver Creek (8-3, 6-3).
Chautauqua Lake (1-10, 1-6) was led by Cam Mackey with 8 points and six rebounds, Brina Jacobson collected six boards and three steals and Kaylee Tarr added four rebounds and three assists.

WILDCATS HOLD OFF PANAMA
SHERMAN — Kelsey Wagner scored 13 points, dealt five assists and grabbed five rebounds as Sherman held off Panama 58-52 in Division 2 play.
Teagan Gratto paced the Sherman (14-1, 10-0) offense with 16 points, Emmersen Crawford scored 13 points with four assists and two blocks, Carlie Gable provided three assists and Jayne Chambers had seven rebounds.
Panama (5-6, 3-5) was led by Kaitlyn Horton with 28 points and seven rebounds, Jessica Lyon scored 11 points with eight rebounds and four assists and Brooke Warner made three steals.

ELLERY — Morgan Caldwell posted a double-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and eight assists to lead Maple Grove past Brocton 62-26 in Division 2 action.
Bryanna Cornell also had a double-double for the Red Dragons (12-2, 9-1) with 10 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, Claire Price added another 10 points, eight assists and five rebounds and Meg Ryan had eight rebounds.
Brocton (1-13, 0-10) was led by Makayley Nelson with 10 points, Zoe Spiller pulled in six rebounds and Haylee Carlton added three boards.

WEST ELLICOTT — Gianna Sirianni and Braya Beaver led a balanced offensive attack, while Juliet Genareo and Charlotte Beaver provided strength on the boards to highlight Southwestern’s 75-16 over Dunkirk in a Division 1 game.
Sirianni and Braya Beaver scored 14 points apiece, and Charlotte Beaver and Ellie Pearson added 12 points apiece. Charlotte Beaver added nine boards and 10 steals, and Genareo contributed 11 rebounds and two blocked shots.
Southwestern (12-2, 6-0) led 40-7 at halftime and breezed to the win.
“All of our girls played hard and contributed tonight,” Trojans head coach Kay Beaver said. “We had very balanced scoring from our guards, and Juliet Genareo and Lily Robinson had a great game in the post for us.”
Brooke Szymczak led the Marauders (0-13, 0-6) with 5 points.
