Southwestern girls post hoops win over Fredonia
WEST ELLICOTT — Gianna Sirianni scored 21 points and collected four steals to lead Southwestern to a 66-12 victory over Fredonia in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 girls basketball game Thursday night.
The Trojans (10-2, 5-0) jumped out to a 20-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
Braya Beaver and Marlana Cresanti scored 11 and 10 points respectively for the winners. Braya Beaver also had seven rebounds, five assists and six steals; Cresanti had 11 steals, six boards and five assists; and Charlotte Beaver grabbed six rebounds.
Piper Walnicki led the Hillbillies (1-9, 1-4) with 7 points.

SHERMAN — Kelsey Wagner scored 19 points and dealt three assists to lead Sherman past Chautauqua Lake 79-31 in Division 2 play.
Emmersen Crawford scored another 16 points with six steals for Sherman (13-1, 9-0), Teagan Gratto provided 12 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Isa Kioko collected seven rebounds, Jayne Chambers had six boards and Baya Oehlbeck made three steals.
Chautauqua Lake (1-9, 1-5) was led by Eden Ludwig with 10 points, Brina Jacobson reeled in five rebounds, Kaylee Tarr had four rebounds and Cameron Mackey made two assists.
