Westfield girls take down Gowanda
GOWANDA — A 9-3 second quarter helped Westfield build a 23-14 halftime advantage on its way to a 46-33 nonleague girls basketball win over Gowanda on Wednesday.
Mackenzie Schumaker led the Wolverines (7-6, 4-4 CCAA D2) with 13 points, seven rebounds and a block, Nahlia Douglas added 10 with eight rebounds, Reagan Weingart also had eight rebounds and a block and Olivia Wolfe managed three steals.
Corrina John led the Panthers (4-10, 0-7 CCAA D3) with 13 points.

PANAMA BEATS CHAUTAUQUA LAKE
PANAMA — Kiera Loberg had herself quite the day scoring 30 points with seven steals and five assists to lead Panama past Chautauqua Lake 66-38 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action on Wednesday.
Kaitlyn Horton provided another 14 points and seven boards for the Panthers (6-6, 4-5), while Jessica Lyon scored 12 points with five steals.
Chautauqua Lake (1-11, 1-7) was led by Kaylee Tarr with 13 points and five rebounds and Brina Jacobson pitched in another six boards.
