Cards fall to O’Hara; Clymer downs Chautauqua Lake
RANDOLPH — Kyla Hayes scored 21 points and Mikeylah Biles added 19 to pace Cardinal O’Hara to a 62-41 nonleague girls basketball victory over Randolph on Saturday.
Led by Hayes’ 12 first-quarter points, the Hawks jumped out to a 22-4 lead and the Cardinals weren’t able to recover.
Randolph did close the gap to 31-24 at halftime — Skylar Herington had 11 of her 21 points in a 20-9 second quarter — but Cardinal O’Hara outscored the hosts 31-17 in the third and fourth periods to keep the hosts at bay.
Herington also had five steals and four rebounds; Quinn Pence added four rebounds and three steals; and Payton Morrison collected five assists and five rebounds.

CLYMER — Ava Nyweide scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds, collected five steals and added two assists to highlight Clymer’s 44-22 victory over Chautauqua Lake in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 game.
Elli Bodamer chipped in 10 points, six rebounds and two steals; and Harleigh Faulkner contributed 8 points and five boards for the winners (6-11), who led 20-7 at halftime.
Avery Cannon and Kalee Tarr scored 7 points apiece to lead the Eagles (2-14).
