Orcutt pours in 32, leads Dunkirk past Maple Grove 66-59

ELLERY — Greg Orcutt poured in 32 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, to spark Dunkirk to a 66-59 nonleague boys basketball victory over Maple Grove on Saturday.

Orcutt, who drilled six 3-pointers, was joined in double figures by K’von Tell, who had 17 points.

Liam Colburn scored 23 points to lead the Red Dragons, and Zach Cornell added 12.

The game was close throughout — Dunkirk led 43-42 after three quarters — but the Marauders outscored Maple Grove 23-17 in the final period, led by Orcutt.

FORESTVILLE — Behind 16 points and 11 rebounds from Jacob Ferranto, Sherman rallied for a 45-42 nonleague victory.

Cale Cook added 14 points and four boards; Nolan DeKoning had 9 points, three rebounds and three assists; and Logan Swan contributed seven boards and five assists for the Wildcats (9-7).

For the Hornets (10-4), William Duliba led the way with 16 points.

The Red Dragons trailed 33-28 after three quarters, but outscored Forestville 17-9 in the fourth quarter.
