Sirianni unavailable for CSHOF banquet

The nine-member 2025 Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame class will be inducted next week at the organization’s 43rd annual banquet at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club.

But Nick Sirianni won’t be able to be there.

“I regret to inform my friends and supporters from home that I will be unable to attend Monday’s Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame banquet,” said the Philadelphia Eagles head coach in a statement released Wednesday afternoon. “The demands on my time after the Super Bowl victory make it impossible to travel.”

Sirianni is joining an elite local fraternity, including three members of his immediate family — father Fran, and brothers Mike and Jay — who were enshrined in 2018, 2022 and 2023 respectively. The Class of 2025 honorees for the sold-out event, in addition to Nick Sirianni, are Jessica Anderson, Tom Anderson, Anthony Barone, Stephen Carlson, Mark Edstrom, Ron Frederes, Nick Kahanic and Aaron Leeper.

“Thank you for your understanding,” Sirianni said, “and congratulations to my fellow inductees, Jessica, Tom, Anthony, Stephen, Mark, Ron, Nick and Aaron.”

In addition to the inductees,18 local athletes and coaches will also be honored. They include Frewsburg’s Taytum Jimerson; Falconer/Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove’s Julianna Roth; Fredonia’s Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer, members of the Clymer/Sherman/Panama Class D football team, including Coach Ty Harper and players Tate Catanese, Bryce Hinsdale, Carter Brink, Alex Barmore, Collin Ryan and Dalton Richter; Southwestern’s Connor Young; Maple Grove’s Ethan Verboksy; Southwestern’s Emma Lewis; Gowanda/Pine Valley’s Camryn Slade; Frewsburg’s Trent Lewis; Jamestown’s Chase Bonta; Silver Creek’s Jaylah Cossin; and Rayven Sample.

Starting at $2.99/week.
