CHEEKTOWAGA — The Dunkirk girls softball team started the season with a bang on Thursday, posting a 16-3 nonleague victory over JFK.

Ryleigh Donato paved the way to victory for the Marauders as she went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, three coming on a triple. Kassidy Donisi also went 2 for 2 with a pair of walks and three RBIs and Brooke Szymczak added two more hits and an RBI.

Donisi was also the winning pitcher with five strikeouts.
